This is one of the best Air Rifle scope money can buy hands down. I will try to explain: About 2 years now, I started exploring air guns just for target shooting ( I am one of those, if I don’t need to eat it and it’s not trying to eat me, my family or our food, I don’t shoot it). To-date I have purchased 5 air rifles including .177 Black Ops the last 2, a Hatsan .25 Striker Edge and 125 .25 Vortex. Each of the rifles I had bought came with a scope but I was not satisfied with most of them. I eventually bought me a Simmons 3x9x50. It did good but not great. When I but it on the Hatsan 125 I think that gun blew it apart as I could not get it to hold a zero pass 4 shots. I bought a Winchester 4×32 OA but did not even mount it. I shoot 45 to 50 yards and with this 4×32 I could not see my point of impact clearly so I returned it. While reviewing what else was out there that I could afford, I came across this Center Point 4x16x44. I was impressed with one reviewer who said he had put some 300 rds down range using 308 rifle and it held zero all the way, a few others gave similar reviews. I decided to try this scope. Verdict? It’s amazing. I have never looked through a $300.00 scope but this what I had thought it would look like. While shooting with this scope, I was having problems holding a good group. I recall one reviewer explaining the importance of getting the parallax right and how to do it. If your distance is off you can tell by the behavior of the parallax. When I got the distance right the parallax held steady and I was able to get my 5 shots ¾ inch grouping at 45 yards. When properly adjusted to distance, it is amazingly sharp all the way from 5 yards. I have not heard of any other scope doing that.

Great Scope for the price!

For the money the Centerpoint scope quality was much better than I expected. I mounted it on a Crosman Nitro Venom .177 air rifle. A Centerpoint scope came with the rifle but I wanted an adjustable objective scope. The Centerpoint scope that came with the rifle didn’t have that feature. I did use the scope rings that came with the rile’s CenterPoint scope because those rings were lower than the ones that came with my new AO scope. No problem with clearance and the hold over at short range and hold under beyond sighted in range is far less. The rifle scope mounts keep the scope dead on!. No problem with deviations from it’s sighted-in adjustment. The Mil Dot Reticle is crystal clear. I used the mil dot range calculator on the Centerpoint website and the ranges seem to be fairly accurate. I would recommend this scope for any air rifle or rim fire rifle application.

This is a very nice scope, and holds 0 very easily. The illuminated crosshairs make it very easy to see the target at twilight times, or when there are dark backgrounds behind the target. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the fact that when the zoom got up to 15-16 things got a little unclear. I used this with my Gamo Silent Stalker, and the scopr mounts that hold the stock scope also hold this scope.

Worked for 1500 shots through Rugar Elite .177 then failed

Great scope. Mounted on a Rugar Elite air rifle .177 for one year. About 1500 rounds through rifle with this scope. Scope finally failed about one year later. IR stopped working and AO appeared to be off. The scope was never dropped or abused I suspect, the scope could not tolerate the constant recoil of the spinger. The scope does have some glare problems. Other wise for the money this is a really good scope.

Crosman 4-16x40mm Scope

Amazon.com writes nothing about performance parameters of this scope. I bought one to find its field of view is small and it needs dozens of seconds to find the target in the view. Then check with manufacture and find that the field of view for this scope is about half of those of other brands. And the elevation adjustment doesn’t work well. It took me about a hundred pellets and an afternoon to zero. I can’t use it for hunting for slow aiming but maybe some of you can.

solid construction nice smooth movement great features

Good clarity up to 14 X. Really like the smooth movement of the AO and parallax adjusters. It is harder to sight in versus some of the other value priced 4–16 X 40 mm scopes that I own,.

This scope has been great coupled with a Benjamin Marauder

This scope has been great coupled with a Benjamin Marauder. Good clarity and brightness for this price range. It has adjusted easily and reliably. The 16x setting (and mildot reticle) keeps me on target out to 100 yards. The one thing i don’t like is that the front AO can be somewhat difficult to adjust at times.

good value
