I put this on a savage bolt action .22 for plinking and small game and have tested it off a bench at 50, 75, and 100 yards. The rifle its on is very accurate with iron sights. This scope has a lot of features that all worked well for me. The windage and elevation adjust without a tool and give a nice “click” at each adjustment, the focus works well, and the scope keeps zero through all magnification settings. The problem with this scope is optical quality. Up to 6 power its very clear. Starting at 8 power and getting worse fast after that, its almost like you are looking through water. By 12 power the combination of just so so eye relief and the water bubble factor make it tough to use…but i have to admit from a bench I could still manage it. Now to some extent, any high magnification scope suffers at a high setting and for the price, I really can’t knock this scope. As a plinking and small game scope for up to 75 yards on a low recoil caliber, I expect to get a lot of good use out of it. If you’re looking for top clarity at 100 yards+, you’re going to have to spend more money.
Great scope at a reasonable price!!

I bought this to install with a single piece scope mount onto a savage axis .243. I have shot the rifle a few range trips and scope is holding up great. It is really clear optics, especially for the reasonable cost. I would buy one again if needed for another rifle.
my sks needed this scope.

this scope is great, mounted on an SKS. you can find higher priced scopes with the same optics, but y do that when you can get a way cheaper one, with the same quality? made in china which almost every product u buy these days is made over seas. I have a bunch of simmons products and I haven’t encountered any problems with any of them.

I bought this one, already owning a previous model that was discontinued. Easy to site in and holds where adjusted unlike other inexpensive and/or cheaply made scopes. Just remember, as when adjusting any scope, insure that after you make any adjustment to elevation and/or windage that you give the scope adjuster a slight tap to make sure the adjustment is “seated” and doesn’t float one way or another.
… the price you can’t beat it this scope works great on my 22-250 holds zero and is very clear …
