Vortex Optic Skeptic… no more

I’m a skeptic who was amazed by the quality of this Vortex. It’s not mounted but you can see the quality in the optics after first glance through. Extremely clear no fog or discoloration, come with bikini lens covers and a large towel for cleaning. I wish vortex included the basic rings with these although I’ll be using a P.E.P.R on this build it would be nice for other applications. I was going to get a Trijicon for this build but decided on something that can zoom a bit further and I will update once it’s zero.

Top notch glass.

I bought this scope to put on an AR-15(5.56) I built for my daughter. I liked what I saw when I opened the box. Once I installed it and went to the range I really liked it. It is crystal clear and holds zero well. I installed with a cantilever mount I also bought from Amazon and it was just right. The 2 power is great for close range range work. We’ve gone through a couple hundred rounds and everything is still spot on. I will buy again.

Excellent optic, can not be beat for the $. As with all Vortex products. Amazing eye relief, crystal clear lenses edge to edge, and very easy to zero. Also holds zero, even mounted on my 12 gauge jm pro ( rock solid ). I own several Vortex products, 2 crossfire II, a strikefire II w/ Vortex VMT 3× magnifier, and a strike eagle. After trying other value optics, I have not found anything that holds a candle to Vortex in the same price range. You get everything u would get in a luepold, trijjicon, etc, for a fraction of the price. And all of this with a lifetime warranty. If your in the market for a great optic, and don’t want to break the bank, then I highly recommend Vortex. And hey, if your not happy with it for any reason, u can always return it for a full refund!

Great scope for the money

I put this scope on a quality pellet rifle and instantly realized that it is too good for that. I may place it on a rimfire instead. I am amazed at the quality considering the price. I wish it were made in the USA like their higher costing scopes but then I would be paying alot more for it. The only critique I can make is that the windage and elevation knobs do not have clear and precise “clicks” like a expensive scope. The optics are marvelous for the cost of the scope.

Vortex does not disappoint with the crossfire 2. Clear optics, responsive adjustments, dependable. I originally had this scope on a Savage Mark 2 target 22lr and it worked wonderful, especially with the BDC reticle. But I am so impressed that I am moving it up to my AR, a Smith n Wesson MP 15. Couple of things: 1. The ocular objective (the part you look through) is a little large and medium rings might not be enough to keep the magnification ring from being obstructed on the receiver of the gun. On the AR, you will want to use high rings for sure. I am using the Nikon P series scope mounts. 2. Remember that the objective is 32mm not 40mm. This concerns some people, but it doesn’t look weird and it still gathers plenty of light. The 2-7 magnification range is perfect for close and medium range shooting. If you want to save a few bucks, get the standard duplex reticle, you can get it for around $110-$120. I have not found a better scope in that price range ever. I was real skeptical of Vortex at first bc my gun rack is loaded with Leupolds. But these Vortex scopes keep winning me over. This little scope is a keeper for sure.

Great scope for the money.

If you have owned a Vortex you know their items are top notch. I have never had any issues with any of their items. Even their lower priced of the brand.

Fit my AR-10 just dandy!

This scope is absolutely perfect! Once zeroed, it held true and haven’t had an issue. Fired about 100 rounds through it. Mounted on AR-10 (7.62×51).

Great value

The eye relief for the money is very good. The item worked out fantastic and was able to adjust for very good accuracy. The BDC reticle works very well and comes with explanation.
